Your role
Are you our next Head of System Design? You will be a crucial part of the Design organisation and its management team.
The market is evolving rapidly and therefore we want to reshape how we design and verify our products for the future. We strive to adopt a modularized architecture for our products enabling more reuse of both requirements and verification.
To succeed you will work closely with colleges within the Design organisation but you will also have several important stakeholders all over Saab.
You will report to the Head of Design.
You and your team will have an important role within this new organisation, such as:
Responsibility for platform system design
Requirement handling and promotion of new ways of working
System integration and verification in reference labs and support in BA system labs
Systems modelling
Efficient interface between business unit´s system design and sub system design
Cost estimations and early concept evaluations
As Head of System Design, you and your team will define next generation products based on our platform products. All with the main purpose to secure efficient and timely product development, quality and customer satisfaction.
BA Surveillance Design organisation ensures continuous improvements of development processes, methods and tools across the business area. It holds a capability to own and develop common core platforms defined by BA Surveillance platform strategy and a mandate to enforce integration of common platforms in end products.
To support this, it also holds a capability to drive overall architectural alignment of products, enabling ease of integration. Additionally, it is responsible for development environments Technical leadership and our SW Transformation.

Strong product development experience
Ability to build relationships cross Surveillance within the system engineering community
Appropriate technical knowledge within System Engineering in general
You have a degree in Engineering or similar and communicates fluently in Swedish and English.
Last but not least, you have the ability to support and boost a collaborative work environment with transparency, respect and trust.
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
